Patti- I'm so glad that your OT is addressing the sensory issue and her thoughts about deep pressure, etc describe proprioception or body awareness. SID can affect any of the standard 5 senses, proprioceptive and/or vestibular (balance and gravity).
If your eval. concludes that your son can benefit from sensory integration therapy, there are lots of ways to incorporate proprioceptive input in the day. She/he may mention the Willbarger protocol, which is a schedule of "brushing" and joint compression done at specific intervals. There are also lots of fun ways to add it to your day- jumping on a trampoline, crawling thru a long tube of t-shirting material, giving squeezes and squishing him (gently) between two bean bag chairs.
OASIS is a wonderful online AS information and support board.
http://www.aspergersyndrome.org It has also produced a great book "The OASIS Guide to Asperger Syndrome". Even though I had experience with the autism of my second child, AS was sometimes quite confusing. The book was my main reference when we started down the road. It can be found at most bookstores, the website and most public libraries.
