We have found a treasure! Precious Helpers Horse Farm (www.precioushelpers.org) about 30 miles or so northwest of Louisville,KY in Pekin, IN is so wonderful!
They are not a true 'hippotherapy' center, instead they provide an opportunity for those w/ 'differences' to come out and enjoy some quality time w/ horses- or the dog or kitties- whatever the person needs. My 9 yr old w/ autism loves to groom 'his' horse, Shady, and has even gotten on the past 3 visits. Jordan is very gravitationally insecure and has balance struggles- we have seen HUGE improvements in his running and stability since he started at PHHF. The folks there are wonderful- so loving and respectful. And its all done through volunteers and donations. We look forward to our time there every chance we get to go!

I'd do anything to help these guys get the word out. It's very rare to find people so willing to give to our kids and to our whole familiy like these folks.  Sometimes i think I look forward to time there as much as my kids!!
