I have referred to this book so many times over the years, it's just amazing. Not only did Carol Kranowitz's book help me understand that my Asperger kid was 'hyposensitive' (craving tactile sensations to keep him alert), but I learned a ton about myself as well -- why I fidget, tap my toe, and ug, smoke cigarettes! They all help me focus and stay calm (yes, the smoking really needs to go!).

I recommend this book to all of my clients with ASD, whether they are children or adults. I also recommend it for anyone working with ADHD. It's an easy read, and it's crammed with very useful info.

"The Out of Sync Child Has Fun" is a good resource as well.

Thanks,
